I wanted to turn evolution and development back through a transformation that would un-bend the CNS flexure, and also flatten the temporal lobes. The transformation allows one to see in one single image all four lobes. I used a Möbius transformation for the CNS flexure, and a polar transformation to move up the temporal lobes, plus some linear transformations to fix some stretching here and there. The brain is Colin27, which means that the transformation is in standard MNI space, and could eventually be used to map any other brain (or functional or DTI data) given the appropriate linear transformation.
